Smart Print ABS+ (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) in the Transparent (Clear) version is a high-class technical engineering filament, designed for the production of durable parts that require optical inspection or backlighting. Thanks to its advanced formula enriched with special modifiers and inhibitors, this material is characterized by increased structural strength, excellent layer cohesion and high impact resistance. The lack of covering pigments allows you to obtain translucent or transparent elements (depending on the wall thickness and filling density), which is perfect for designing housings with signaling diodes, covers or laboratory prototypes. The material has excellent resistance to higher operating temperatures and chemicals. It is an ideal choice for technical applications where resistance to cracking under load and the possibility of post-processing are crucial.

Features and benefits:

• High mechanical and thermal resistance: Elements printed from ABS+ are characterized by excellent hardness and scratch resistance. The material maintains shape stability at much higher temperatures than classic materials such as PLA or PETG, perfectly withstanding dynamic loads.
• Transparency and illumination effect: The natural translucency of the material allows you to control the degree of transparency of the model - from a slightly diffused, satin matte finish to high light transmittance (e.g. when printing with a minimum number of outlines or in vase mode). It perfectly highlights the internal structure and works with LED panels.
• Susceptibility to mechanical and chemical processing: ABS+ can be easily ground, drilled, threaded and painted. Importantly, for the colorless version, subjecting the model to a chemical smoothing process using acetone vapor allows for almost complete fusion of the optical layers and obtaining a smooth, highly transparent surface resembling glass or an injection mold.
• Printing tips (Important): As a classic technical material with a specific processing shrinkage, ABS+ requires stable environmental conditions. To obtain the best results and minimize edge curling (warping), it is necessary to use a well-heated table (95°C - 110°C), a closed working chamber and ensure good ventilation in the room.
