Product Description
Filament Smart Print PETG + CF 1.75mm 1KG – Red (Carbon Fiber Reinforced) | Premium Prof. Lab
Discover the power of advanced composite materials that combine excellent mechanical strength with unique, technical aesthetics. Professional Smart Print PETG + CF filament from the Prof series. Lab in the original, deep red color is a premium engineering material, produced in Poland by Imagine s.c. The very popular and stable PETG base is here reinforced with high-quality carbon fibers (Carbon Fiber). The addition of carbon acts as natural structural reinforcement - it drastically reduces processing shrinkage and the tendency to curl edges (warping), increases the thermal resistance of the material, and gives the finished models a beautiful, matte finish. The satin surface of the composite perfectly masks the micro-boundaries of the layers, ensuring the factory appearance of the details immediately after printing. It is an excellent choice for the production of heavily loaded structural elements, drone frames, dedicated handles, device housings and functional prototypes with increased stiffness and modern design.
Properties and advantages of the Smart Print PETG + CF Red filament:
- Excellent stiffness and dimensional stability: The introduction of carbon fibers significantly increases the elastic modulus (stiffness) of PETG plastic. Printed elements are extremely resistant to deflection and deformation under mechanical load.
- Minimum Shrinkage (Exemplary Geometry): Carbon reinforcement drastically reduces thermal shrinkage of the polymer as it cools. This allows for trouble-free and fully repeatable printing of large, technically demanding models without the risk of them cracking or peeling off the table.
- Improved thermal resistance: The admixture of carbon fibers improves the temperature stability of ready-made structures, which allows prints to work safely in a higher temperature range than in the case of classic, unmodified PETG.
- Matte finish and layer masking: Carbon particles perfectly disperse light on the print surface. The transitions between layers become almost invisible to the naked eye, which gives the models a professional, industrial character without the need for time-consuming post-processing.
- Exemplary dimensional precision: Strict production control ensures a stable thread diameter of 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm, which translates into smooth, stable extrusion and no breaks in the wall structure.

Recommendations and suggested print settings:
Composite materials require appropriate equipment preparation. The following parameters and tips will allow you to obtain the highest quality structures and surfaces:
• Head temperature (hotend): 255°C – 270°C
• Table temperature (bed): 80°C – 90°C
• Important equipment note (Hardened nozzle): Carbon fibers have strong abrasive properties. To work with this material, it is absolutely forbidden to use standard brass nozzles because they would de-calibrate very quickly. Use nozzles made of hardened steel, tungsten carbide or with a ruby tip with a diameter of min. 0.4 mm.
• Print environment (Chamber and air supply): The use of a closed working chamber (enclosure) protects the model against sudden temperature changes and drafts, which significantly increases the adhesion of the layers. It is recommended to use moderate, gentle airflow - this allows you to optimize the cooling time of the tracks, increasing the surface quality and the strength of the interlayer bond.
• Storage and hygroscopicity: Carbon fiber composites tend to micro-retain moisture from the air at the boundaries of structures. In order to avoid problems with threading (stringing), it is recommended to store the spool in a tight container with an absorber and, if necessary, dry the material before printing.
