Lab in the Transparent version (Colorless / Transparent) is the highest quality material produced in Poland by Imagine s.c. The lack of pigment allows you to obtain a natural, crystalline structure that perfectly refracts and disperses light, opening up completely new possibilities for creators of LED-backlit models, lampshades or optical elements.

Prof. Lab PLA is a material extremely easy to use and perfect for beginners and advanced users who focus on the reliability and repeatability of everyday prints. The material has excellent interlayer adhesion and very low thermal shrinkage (low warping), which allows for trouble-free printing on almost any machine, without the need for a closed working chamber. The material is perfect for the production of vases, lamp shades, electronics housings with diodes, toys, gadgets, as well as architectural models and artistic projects.

• Great adhesion of layers: High molecular cohesion of the material guarantees strong bonding of individual layers (X, Y, Z axes), which translates into good structural strength of the models.

Recommendations and suggested print settings:

To obtain the best transparency results and optimal bond strength of the layers, it is recommended to use the following settings:

• Nozzle temperature: 185°C - 215°C (The recommended starting point is approximately 200°C. A higher temperature within the normal range promotes better fusion of layers and greater clarity).

• Table temperature (Heated bed): 25°C - 60°C (For glass or PEI coated platforms, the optimal range is 50-60°C; when using adhesive bases, cold printing is also possible).

• Print cooling: 50% - 100% (When printing elements that want to maintain maximum transparency, slightly lowering the airflow and reducing the printing speed may improve the optical clarity of the material).

• Design tip: The best transparency (glass) effect is achieved when printing with one outlined wall (so-called Vase Mode) and with a higher layer height.

• Compatibility with nozzles: The material is fully homogeneous and safe for all types of nozzles. It can be successfully printed on standard brass, steel or ruby ​​nozzles with diameters from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm.
