Product Description

Smart Print PETG filament 1.75mm 1KG – Purple (Classic Deep Purple) | Premium Prof. Lab

Get the perfect balance between technical strength and a hassle-free extrusion process. Professional Smart Print PETG filament in a classic shade of deep purple (Purple) is the highest quality premium engineering and decorative material from the prestigious Prof series. Lab, manufactured in Poland by the renowned company Imagine s.c. The copolyester polymer formula uniquely combines the most important advantages of the two most popular materials: high impact strength and mechanical resistance known from ABS with the legendary ease and printing stability characteristic of PLA. The expressive purple color is characterized by deep saturation and a noble shine, which gives the finished elements a professional, factory finish. This material is slightly flexible, which prevents it from cracking under load, and is fully resistant to moisture, weather conditions and a wide range of chemicals. It is a reliable material designed for demanding applications. It is perfect for printing machine parts, housings, handles, mountings, as well as decorative and garden elements used outdoors.

Properties and advantages of the Smart Print PETG Purple filament:

  • Excellent strength and durability: PETG is characterized by high resistance to impact, cracking and abrasive wear. Gentle structural flexibility makes the models perfectly absorb dynamic stresses.
  • Chemical resistance and hydrophobicity: The material does not absorb moisture, is waterproof and has excellent stability in contact with acids, bases or oils, which allows it to be used without any problems in difficult environmental conditions.
  • Powerful interlayer adhesion: The alloy rheology optimized in the manufacturer's laboratories guarantees perfect and extremely strong bonding of successively applied plastic paths, which minimizes the risk of delamination of the model in the Z axis under the influence of loads.
  • Low thermal shrinkage (Low Warp): Unlike ABS, the filament has excellent dimensional stability during printing. It can be successfully used on open machines (without a closed working chamber), without any tendency to curl the edges.
  • High dimensional precision of the thread: Strict control at the extrusion stage ensures a constant filament diameter of 1.75 mm with a strict tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm, which guarantees fully uniform, stable and smooth material feeding through the extruder.

Technical parameters and specifications:

Material: PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate with glycol) Filament diameter: 1.75mm Dimensional tolerance: +/- 0.03mm Color: Purple (Classic Deep Purple) Surface Finish: Shiny, high gloss Material weight: 1.0 kg net Outer diameter of the spool: 195mm Center hole diameter: 75mm Compatibility: Most FDM/FFF 3D printers (equipped with a heated print bed) Producer: Imagine s.c. (Polish product)

Recommendations and suggested print settings:

Filaments from the Smart Print PETG series are extremely thermally stable. To obtain optimal mechanical properties and impeccable surface aesthetics, it is recommended to use the following operating parameters:

• Head temperature (hotend): 220°C – 240°C

• Bed temperature: 80°C - 90°C (Heated work table required; due to the very strong adhesion of PETG to smooth surfaces, it is recommended to use PEI textured pads or appropriate adhesive agents to facilitate removal of the finished model)

• Print cooling: 20-50% (To obtain maximum structural strength, it is recommended to limit the airflow; higher cooling values up to 60-70% can be used when printing complex bridges and overhangs)

• Hardware tip (Nozzle): The material does not contain hard structural particles or fibers, so it is non-abrasive. It can be used completely safely and without any restrictions with standard brass nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 mm and above.
