This composite combines the ease of processing of classic polylactide with an admixture of real wood particles, which allows you to obtain a matte surface finish with a deep, dark brown shade, deceptively reminiscent of exclusive carpentry products made of walnut wood.

Smart Print PLA Wood is an extremely user-friendly material and perfect for beginners and advanced 3D printing enthusiasts. Thanks to its unique structure with organic particles, this filament perfectly masks the boundaries between layers, making the extrusion lines almost invisible. Special inhibitors used in the production process increase the mechanical durability and color stability of the insert. The material is characterized by strong inter-layer adhesion and minimal shrinkage (minimal warping), and the finished models can be easily subjected to post-processing - sanding, staining or varnishing. The filament is ideal for printing decorative elements, retro housings, architectural models, desk organizers, replicas of instruments, sculptures, as well as artistic projects and stylized handicrafts.

Recommendations and suggested print settings:

Due to the organic nature of the wood admixture, it is recommended to use the following parameters to ensure perfect flow and obtain the best visual values:

• Nozzle temperature: 190°C - 230°C (Higher temperatures may cause a slight, natural darkening of the wood shade)

• Table temperature (Heated bed): 40°C - 60°C (For glass or PEI coated platforms, a temperature of 50-60°C is recommended)

• Print cooling: 80% - 100% (Intensive blowing helps keep the edges of details sharp)

• Tip regarding retraction: Materials with wood content have a slightly greater tendency to stringing. It is recommended to optimize the retraction length and speed and ensure that the filament is stored in a dry environment.

• ⚠️ Important operating recommendation (Nozzle): Due to the content of wood microparticles, in order to completely eliminate the risk of clogging, it is highly recommended to use nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 mm or larger (optimally 0.5 mm or 0.6 mm).
