Lab in the mystical Purple color is the highest quality material produced in Poland by the company Imagine s.c. The Silk material line was developed to obtain a unique, deep shine resembling natural silk (silk-like finish). Thanks to unique optical modifications, the finished models reflect light spectacularly, gaining an exclusive, magnetizing, satin character.

Filament Prof. Lab Silk PLA fantastically masks the boundaries between subsequent layers. The special structure refracts light along the Z axis, making the extrusion lines almost invisible, and the side wall surfaces become perfectly smooth without the need for time-consuming post-processing. This material is characterized by excellent interlayer adhesion and very low shrinkage (minimal warping), which allows for stable and trouble-free printing on most popular 3D printers. Prof. Series Lab contains advanced additives that improve the flexibility of the material, making the prints much less brittle than in the case of traditional, budget PLA. It is an ideal choice for the production of decorative models, elegant vases, statuettes, jewelry, props (cosplay), artistic items and luxurious show models.

Recommendations and suggested print settings:

Due to the content of optical modifiers giving the "Silk" effect, it is recommended to use slightly higher processing temperatures to obtain maximum shine and high layer adhesion:

• Nozzle temperature: 200°C - 230°C (It is recommended to start from ~215°C. A higher extrusion temperature within the norm enhances the spectacular effect of mirror, silky shine).

• Temperature of the table (Heated bed): 40°C - 60°C (For glass platforms or PEI sheets, the optimal working range is 50-60°C).

• Print cooling: 80% - 100% (Intensive blowing ensures perfect reproduction of geometric details and clean overhangs).

• Speed tip: To obtain a perfectly uniform, glossy coating without local matting, it is recommended to maintain a constant, moderate printing speed for external walls (e.g. 40-50 mm/s).

• Compatibility with nozzles: The filament is homogeneous, does not contain abrasive particles and is 100% safe for standard brass nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 mm and smaller.
