Discover the full potential of printing with rubber-like materials and create elements that are resistant to intensive use. Prof. Lab TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) in a distinctive, sunny yellow (Yellow) color is a professional, highly flexible engineering filament. It is characterized by excellent resistance to abrasion, tearing, dynamic impacts and multiple mechanical deformations. Thanks to the optimally selected hardness of 95A on the Shore scale, this material perfectly combines the elasticity of rubber with the ease of printing similar to classic rigid materials, minimizing the risk of line curling in the extruder. The vivid yellow shade ensures excellent visibility of elements and gives them a factory, professional look, making this filament an ideal choice for the production of gaskets, vibration-isolating pads, bumpers, damping elements, flexible device cases and durable handles.

Features and benefits:

  • High flexibility and shape memory (Hardness 95A): The material has excellent ability to control stretching and compression. After removing the load, the printed detail seamlessly returns to its original geometry, showing no cracks or permanent deformations.
  • Extreme wear resistance: TPU from Prof. Lab is famous for its exceptional resistance to friction and material fatigue. It is also characterized by good stability in contact with many technological oils, greases and detergents, which allows it to be widely used in mechanics and industry.
  • Excellent adhesion of layers: One of the greatest advantages of thermoplastic polyurethane is the perfect bonding of subsequent layers (extremely strong thermal weld), which makes the finished objects monolithic and fully tight, e.g. in terms of keeping liquid or air in.
  • High dimensional accuracy and printing instructions: Fixed line diameter of 1.75 mm (with a tolerance of up to ±0.03 mm) facilitates even dosing. Important working tip: Flexible materials require a lower printing speed and a properly routed, tight filament path in the extruder (the best results are obtained on Direct Drive extruders, although printing on Bowden systems is also possible with appropriate calibration).
