Filament PLA Prof. Lab 1.75mm 5kg Black Large Spool
Product Description
Filament Prof. Lab PLA 1.75mm 5kg | Black – Performance Industrial Format
Optimize your long-term additive manufacturing processes and focus on uncompromising performance without frequent technical interruptions. Top-class filament Prof. Lab PLA in a deep, classic Black color in a large-sized spool weighing 5 kg is an advanced thermoplastic material dedicated to high-volume and serial 3D printing. This material perfectly combines intuitive ease of use - ideal for people taking their first steps in the world of FDM technology - with the reliability required in professional laboratories, prototyping workshops and industrial 3D printer farms.
The material is characterized by exceptionally smooth extrusion and excellent layer adhesion, which allows for trouble-free reproduction of complex geometries while maintaining ideal tolerances. Thanks to the refined recipe, the filament is characterized by minimal thermal shrinkage and minimal susceptibility to edge curling (low warping), which eliminates the risk of the model detaching from the table during multi-day work sessions. The deep, saturated black is distinguished by an elegant surface finish that perfectly highlights the shape of the block and is ideal for the production of device housings, architectural models, functional prototypes, assembly elements and everyday utility items. The product is fully compatible with most open 3D printers working in FDM/FFF technology, which technically support 5 kg spools.
Why is it worth choosing Prof. filament? Lab PLA in a 5 kg spool?
- Economical high-volume format (5 kg): Drastically reduces the need for frequent replacement of spools in the extruder. It enables continuous, safe printing of huge models without fear of sudden material exhaustion during work.
- Extremely user-friendly: Easy to calibrate and highly tolerant of minor fluctuations in temperature settings. It does not require the use of a closed working chamber or specialized adhesive chemicals.
- Rigorous geometric precision: Strict production control ensures a constant line diameter of 1.75 mm with a tolerance of 0.03 mm, which guarantees even polymer flow and completely eliminates the risk of clogging the nozzle.
- Classic, deep black: The pigment is distributed 100% evenly along the entire length of the roll, which guarantees a uniform shade of the print without stains or discoloration.
Technical parameters and print settings:
Filament diameter: 1.75 mm (geometric tolerance: ± 0.03 mm) Color: Black (Black/Deep black) Net weight of the material: 5.0 kg (industrial version / Heavy Yield) Nozzle Temperature (Nozzle): 185°C – 215°C (suggested starting value: 200°C) Table temperature (Bed): 25°C – 60°C (no absolute need for strong heating) Plastic type: PLA Standard (Biodegradable polylactide) Producer / Country of origin: Imagine s.c., Cholerzyn (Poland)
Hardware and assembly tips:
Due to the large weight and dimensions of the 5 kg spool, the 3D printer's workstation must be properly prepared before printing.
• Feeding system (Stand): The 5 kg spool requires the use of a stable, dedicated external stand equipped with ball-bearing rollers. Standard factory arms mounted directly on the printer frame may become overloaded or bent due to the weight of the spool.
• Extruder resistance: Make sure that the filament unwinds smoothly and the extruder motor does not pose any resistance when pulling the thread from the external stand (it is worth using a piece of PTFE pipe as a guide leading the thread directly to the head).
• Compatibility: Works with all open systems (Creality, Prusa, Anycubic, etc.). In the case of devices with integrated closed feeders (e.g. Bambu Lab AMS), the filament should be fed from an external roller, bypassing the internal automatic chamber system.
Packaging and storage information:
The filament is precisely wound on a reinforced, stable industrial spool resistant to mechanical deformation. The product was hermetically packed in a thick barrier foil in a vacuum cover with an appropriately enlarged moisture absorber (silica gel).
Tip: Due to the fact that the consumption of 5 kg of material in smaller laboratories may take longer, after completing a given series of prints, it is recommended to store the spool in a dry, dark environment or in a tight technological container. This will prevent the natural process of absorbing moisture from the air, ensuring impeccable smoothness of the side walls and no threading (stringing) from the first to the last layer.
