Lab in the Transparent version (Colorless / Transparent) is the highest quality new generation material, manufactured in Poland by Imagine s.c. The PLA+ series was created for users looking for a material with significantly higher impact strength, lower brittleness and increased resistance to cracking than traditional polylactide varieties, while maintaining the legendary ease of printing.

The lack of pigment allows you to obtain a natural, pure structure that perfectly refracts and disperses light, opening up completely new possibilities for creators of LED-illuminated models, lampshades and optical elements. Thanks to advanced modification of the polymer base, Prof. Lab PLA+ shows excellent layer bonding and minimal thermal shrinkage (minimal warping). Optimized fluidity allows for more accurate reproduction of complex geometries. This material is an ideal choice for both beginners and advanced printers who need a reliable and durable material for the production of vases, lamp shades, electronics housings with signaling diodes, durable gadgets, as well as architectural models and artistic projects.

Recommendations and suggested print settings:

Due to the reinforced polymer base of the PLA+ series, it is recommended to use the following operating settings to obtain optimal melting, highest mechanical strength and maximum optical clarity:

• Nozzle temperature: 200°C - 220°C (The recommended starting point is approximately 210°C. A higher extrusion temperature within the norm promotes better fusion of the layers, which reduces internal micro-gaps and increases the clarity of the material).

• Table temperature (Heated bed): 50°C - 60°C (To ensure a stable grip of the first layer on glass, textured tables or PEI sheets).

• Print cooling: 50% - 100% (When printing elements that are intended to maintain maximum transparency, slightly lowering the airflow and reducing the printing speed of the outer walls allows for better transparency).

• Design tip: The best "glass" effect is achieved when printing with one contoured wall (the so-called Vase Mode), a higher layer height and an increased flow of 102-105%.

• Compatibility with nozzles: The material does not contain abrasive particles and is 100% safe for all types of brass, steel or coated nozzles with diameters from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm.
